Ironing paper or ironing cloth?

Both keep melted plastic off your iron. The difference is the surface they leave on your beads.

Ironing paper

The sheet that comes with Perler and Hama kits; many people use parchment (baking) paper instead. Laid flat, it leaves a smooth surface with a faint grain. Crumple it first and the creases press into the beads.

Ironing cloth

A reusable non-stick sheet of PTFE-coated glass fiber — often sold as a Teflon sheet, the same kind used on heat presses. Its weave presses into the melted surface, and the thicker the cloth, the deeper the texture: from 0.11 mm fine weave to 0.25 mm heavy weave. Beyond plain weave there are towels, glitter cloths and Cinderella foil cloths, each with its own look.

用烘焙纸还是烘焙布？

两样都能挡住化开的塑料，不让它粘到熨斗上。区别在于烫完留在豆子上的表面。

烘焙纸

Perler、Hama 套装里附带的烫纸就是这一类，很多人也直接用家里的烘焙纸。铺平了烫，表面光滑，带一点细细的纸纹；先揉皱再烫，折痕就会压进豆面。

烘焙布

一张可以反复用的不粘布，材质是涂了 PTFE（特氟龙）的玻璃纤维布，和烫画机上垫的是同一种。它的织纹会压进化开的豆面，布越厚纹路越深：从 0.11 mm 的细纹到 0.25 mm 的大粗纹。除了普通织纹布，还有毛巾、闪粉布、仙度瑞拉箔纹布，各有各的样子。
